My name is Gareth and I am the owner/operator of Square 1 Detailing. I began seriously detailing circa 2004 wanting to improve the appearance of my car at the time.  I had read about cutting compounds and polishes and after some research, bought my chosen products and corrected my car's paint.  From there I was hooked. Fast forward to the present day and I still have a passion for the pursuit of perfection.  I contribute to several detailing oriented groups and discussion forums and have completed a number of courses to better my skill set.  The yellow VZ Clubsport featured throughout this website has been my test mule and showcase vehicle for the past 5 years and has worn more combinations of polish, wax and sealants than I can remember. I don't believe Ill ever know all there is to know about detailing but while I have a passion, Ill continue to learn and hone my skill.
